Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. The music she grew up with was classical and old boleros, as well as traditional romantic and Ranchero songs. Ana enjoys tangos and the dramatic and opera performances. She began singing and learning music with her mother, and commenced more serious training in singing at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. She performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young student and professional. In 2000, she relocated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she returned to her home in southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. Alongside being an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for art and music has her active in a variety of different projects. Ana is also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly for the young generation, for keeping this music vibrant.
