Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit, an Indian actress famous for Hum Aapke Hain Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most well-known Indian actors. Her career began acting during the 80s. Her fame was boosted by the movie Tezaab with an established actor Anil Kooor. Her next film was the film Dil In which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she was able to learn dance at an early age. While still a teenager she attempted acting, but the majority of her early movies failed. She eventually found success and was one of the most prominent actors on the Indian film industry. Following her marriage the actress took time off from acting before returning. Recently, she played a significant role as a character in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit has been nominated 15 times to win Filmfare Awards. She won eight of the awards. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit, the fourth-highest civil honour in India. The award was also given to her by the social sector.
